Dance with your Horse Camp
This wonderful Camp will concentrate on riding the horse to music chosen specifically for the foot fall of that particular horse and rider. We will start with choosing a horse for each camper this team will be together the entire camp. We work with a metronome helping the riders to time their horses footfalls to a musical time, then on to choosing the proper music and then to choreograph a program to horse and rider finished with a final day performance for parents This is a wonderful chance for horse and rider to come together in movement and timing, and it is FUN FUN FUN!
Art of the Horse Camp
This camp will be dedicated to our usual development of riding skills and will also concentrate on the beauty of these magnificent animals and some of the prominent breeds. We will work with each camper also to help them create drawings, paintings and sculptures of the horse. We will end this camp with a demonstration of our newly acquired riding skills and an art show of the campers pieces created during camp.
History of the Horse Camp
This educational camp will be filled with learning about the Equine Breeds. Campers will be broken into groups and given a specific breed of horse, they will research that breed and its history and characteristics. They will develop costumes and a written report on that breed. Camp will end with a presentation of the Breeds show in the costumes the campers have designed.
Photography of the Horse Camp
This camp will concentrate on developing skills to photograph the horse in a way that brings out its natural qualities. Through the camp we will work with the campers on acquiring the skills in choosing and developing ideas and ways to take the best pictures of these magnificent creatures. Campers will develop a portfolio of their work to display at our final day parent show.
